Troubling Whiteness: a discernment series

A pilot offering in early 2026 to a small group of committed and interested folks.

Perhaps you are one of them?

With more and more frequency, I am having conversations in my 1:1 sessions about privilege, whiteness, anti-racism, and simply how to discern and respond in our current social context.

Beyond simply wondering what we can DO, folks are asking questions about HOW to BE, how to shift, change, grow and deepen in the personal work required in order to choose and act in community.

I find these conversations to be energizing - and exactly where I want to be in my practice -  A Change of Being!

I have long been convinced that spirituality is not only a key component in the work of dismantling the culture of whiteness (racism) within and around us, but that the dismantling itself IS a spiritual practice - one that is vital and required of us.

I am imagining a group of us meeting online.

I'll bring materials, guidance, and structure for us to reflect on, confront and interrogate the veil of white supremacy culture not only in our world, but in our very selves.

We will learn beside one another - leaning into prayer, conversation, and discernment practices.

You will find company, challenge, and encouragement.

A place to ask questions and contemplate risk - all while expanding our understanding and experience of Spirit, God, Love.

If you are even mildly interested  - let me know. If you have questions - send them!

(payment & commitments come later!)

It will most likely be between 6-12 sessions (perhaps in two parts?) depending on our mutual capacity.

Details regarding number of sessions, dates, sliding scale fees, and tithing (a percentage of the fees to one of several BIPOC communities or people) - will be shared when the application process formally opens.

Through conversation, prayer, and embodied practices over a series of Zoom gatherings, we will invite the Spirit to trouble our hearts as we examine our personal & spiritual stories in order to more clearly discern the ways we are called to do the real, vital work of racial justice in our communities.
